So I fully intended to spend the year just having my kids use their own little personal pencil sharpeners (and I wasn’t really looking forward to it… I’m sure I’m not the only one who has had students drop them and send pencil shavings everywhere)!

Then I saw the new “Precious Pink” classroom sharpener 

from Classroom Friendly Supplies and I emailed Troy right away!

I told my students our new hot pink pencil sharpener was going to be arriving in a week and they were almost as excited as I was! When it arrived they couldn’t wait to start using it! And it is very impressive! I love how it is set up so that the students can’t keep sharpening and sharpening their pencil. When it is sharp they can tell and the sharpener doesn’t just eat away at the pencil!

Also, the pencils are nice and sharp! They last much longer than pencils had in the past with other sharpeners!

My students were SO impressed with how sharp the pencils got, especially since “it’s not even electric!” And it’s not loud like electric pencil sharpeners either!

They have been so great with using it and I am confident that this sharpener is going to last much longer than our previous ones!

If pink’s not your color, they also have the sharpener in green, blue, red, and black! I do have to say though, my students (even my boys!) love the hot pink one! 🙂
