Lessons with Laughter launched in February of 2012 as a place to share what was happening in my classroom. I believe that teaching is based on building relationships with students and should be filled with engaging content and a lot of laughter!
In addition to building relationships, technology and student selected reading are also at the heart of my classroom. I am so happy to be able to share some of my passion with all of you! I so hope that after reading my blog you may get some inspiration from it to bring back to your own classroom or home!
I started teaching 4th grade in 2010 and have since taught 4th and 5th grades in both public and private schools. I have a huge passion for classroom decor and creating a classroom environment that engages learners and feels like a second home. I love collaborating with teachers and sharing ideas that make all our classrooms engaging, beautiful places for students to learn. I am a life-long learner and have earned my masters degree in Curriculum & Instruction with a focus on Reading and Language Arts. I also have a Specialist Certificate in Character Development and my administrative credential.
My classroom has been featured in the Huffington Post and I am currently and advisor for Scholastic Teacher magazine.
I hope that Lessons with Laughter puts a smile on your face and provides inspiration for you to take back to your classroom. If you are stopping by for the first time, be sure to check out my classroom library!

I love hearing from you all though and will try to get back to you as soon as I can!
