Desk Monsters & a Sneak Peek!

Last year after seeing the adorable monster clipart by KPM Doodles I decided to do a twist on the traditional “Desk Fairy” notes and make “Desk Monster” notes instead! I originally just made ones with the green St. Patrick’s Day monsters, but it has been such a hit with my class that I decided to make more monster notes to switch it up a bit!
I created desk monsters for some of the main holidays/seasons, as well as some generic ones that can be used throughout the year.

My kids LOVE walking in the classroom in the morning and seeing a note the desk monster left on their desk! I leave them with a little treat as well… nothing big, just a small piece of candy, eraser, pencil, etc.

Here’s one I put out for my students today after school:

I have found that these little notes really motivate my students to keep their desks clean! Some will even stay after school to clean out their desks in case the “desk monster” comes that evening! I will usually pass out desk monster notes about once a week…. maybe twice a week every now and then to keep them on their toes!

The pack is available in my Teachers Pay Teachers store for $3 here! I hope you kiddos enjoy the desk monster as much as mine do and that this can help keep their desks more organized!

It was AMAZING having a 3 day weekend and I am thoroughly looking forward to our week long Thanksgiving break! I feel like I got SO much done this weekend, and I have so many more projects I am excited to work on! One of them I had envisioned coming to life for a long time, and just finally found the time this weekend to finish putting it all together! Now I am just putting the final touches on it! Just wanted to give you a sneak peek… If you remember my Reading & Writing notebooks then you may see where this is headed… 馃檪

I will do the full reveal later this week!

AND I will give away 3 free copies of my desk monster pack to the first 3 people to comment! Don’t forget to leave your email address!
